The Fluorescent Harbinger of Doom I don't leave my house much anymore. Severe PTSD from a stabbing incident keeps me holed up, surviving on deliveries from Amazon. But today I had no choice - I had to brave the outside world and make a quick trip to the local Dollar General.

The first thing that hit me was the harsh, institutional lighting - that sickly fluorescent glow that makes everything look poisonous. Then the smell - a nauseating blend of plastic, cardboard, and chemicals. This place was not of God. No, this was the handiwork of the corporate machine, consuming the soul of small-town America.

The Prophet's Warning As I wandered the aisles, a chill ran down my spine. This wasn't just another soulless big box store - this was a fulfillment of biblical prophecy. The prophet Daniel warned of a final world empire, a "beast" that would "devour the whole earth" (Daniel 7:23). And now I was standing in the middle of it.

The Rise of the Corporate Beast Dollar General is the physical manifestation of that prophetic "beast." With over 16,000 locations nationwide, they have systematically wiped out independent businesses and reduced Main Street to a lifeless husk. Every town, the same - a cookie-cutter corporate sameness that suffocates the life out of local communities.

The Tribulation of the Faithful And what of the faithful, the remnant who refuse to bow to this corporate Baal? The prophet Isaiah foretold their fate - "The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed the laws, Changed the ordinance, Broken the everlasting covenant" (Isaiah 24:5). As the world becomes homogenized, those who cling to the old ways will be marginalized, persecuted, consumed.

"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
