I don't leave my house much these days. Not since that incident out West a few years back - the child trafficking ring, the stabbing that left me with PTSD. I'm a hermit now, my world confined to the glow of a screen, brown boxes from Amazon my only connection to the world beyond.
But every so often, I have no choice. I bundle up, climb on my e-scooter, and brave the frozen tundra to the local Dollar General. And every time, my heart sinks a little more.
The Darkness Descends on Main Street Those fluorescent lights hit me first, that harsh institutional brightness that makes everything look poisoned. Then the smell - plastic, cardboard, chemicals. This is not the America I grew up in. This is something else entirely.
Where my hometown once boasted a vibrant Main Street, filled with family-owned shops and the lifeblood of community, now stands a towering box store. Dollar General has consumed it all - every last remnant of our once-thriving small-town soul.
The Prophecy Fulfilled Before Our Eyes The Bible warned us this would come to pass. In Revelation 13, we read of a great beast that would rise up, forcing all to receive its mark, to be part of its economic system. Does that not sound chillingly familiar as we watch global corporations tighten their grip, usher in cashless society, and erase the very fabric of local enterprise?
The Battleground of the End Times Make no mistake, my brothers and sisters - this is spiritual warfare. The forces of darkness seek to devour our communities, to rob us of our identity, to reduce us to mere cogs in their machine. But we serve a mighty God, and there is still time to rise up and fight.
Will you join me in standing firm against this corporate Goliath? Will you support your local small businesses, protect the soul of your town? The battle for America's future is being waged on these streets. The time to act is now.
"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
