Ancient Warnings This dystopian vision of a homogenized, commercialized America is exactly what the prophet Daniel warned about 2,500 years ago. In his apocalyptic visions, he described a "beast" kingdom that would "devour the whole earth" and "trample it down and crush it." (Daniel 7:23)
The Isaiah Imperative The prophet Isaiah gave a similar warning, condemning those who "join house to house" until "there is no more room." (Isaiah 5:8) He lamented the destruction of Main Street, where "the joyful city" became a "desolate city" - replaced by the empty conformity of the "marketplace."
Revelation's Reality And in the New Testament book of Revelation, John's prophetic visions described a global economic system controlled by a single authoritarian power. "No one could buy or sell unless he had the mark." (Revelation 13:17) The technology exists right now. Brain chips. Digital currency. The pieces are all falling into place.
