Analysis: America, Inc. - How We're Watching the Soul of Our Nation Die in Real Time

I don't get out much these days. After a run-in with a child trafficking ring left me battered and scarred, I've become something of a hermit. But every so often, I have no choice but to brave the outside world. Today was one of those days.

Dollar General, in particular, has become a plague, spreading like a virus and wiping out the last vestiges of local commerce.

"After you, another kingdom will arise, inferior to yours. Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze, will rule over the whole earth." (Daniel 2:39)

Dollar General, with its soulless fluorescent aisles and chemically-scented wares, represents the latest manifestation of this prophetic timeline. It is the bronze kingdom, the inferior power that consumes and corrupts all in its path.
