I've seen it with my own eyes, skulking around these dying Main Streets, watching the fluorescent lights of Dollar General shine like a beacon of doom. The institutional brightness makes everything look tainted, poisoned. And the stench - plastic, cardboard, chemicals. It's the smell of the corporate abyss, consuming everything in its path.

Just a few years back, I was nearly killed investigating a child trafficking operation out west. The PTSD from that incident has turned me into a hermit, hiding from the horrors of this world.
