The ancient Babylonian king Belshazzar scoffed at the warnings of God's prophet Daniel. He mocked the Almighty and paid the ultimate price. Now, as I watch the nightly news, I can't help but see the same arrogance and disregard for divine truth playing out on the world stage.
The Gathering Storm
From the Epstein scandal exposing the depravity of the elite, to the escalating conflicts in the Middle East, to the unprecedented social unrest gripping nations around the globe - the signs of the times are undeniable. It's as if the four horsemen of the Apocalypse are saddling up, ready to ride.
The Prophetic Timeline
The book of Daniel outlines a prophetic timeline that seems to be unfolding before our very eyes. The rise and fall of world empires. The emergence of a one-world government. The persecution of God's people. All foretold centuries ago, now playing out in real-time.
"And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws..." (Daniel 7:25)
A Reckoning is Coming
Like the handwriting on the wall that doomed Belshazzar's kingdom, I fear a day of reckoning is fast approaching. The proud and the powerful may scoff, but make no mistake - judgment is coming. As a parent, I can only pray that my family is found faithful when the trumpet sounds.
