They never believed the boy when it mattered. You know the story - the shepherd boy gets bored, starts yelling "Wolf! Wolf!" as a prank. The villagers come running, only to find the boy laughing at them.
It happens again. And again. Until one day, a real wolf shows up. The boy screams for help, but this time, no one listens. The wolf ravages the flock, and probably the boy too.
Are we making the same mistake with biblical prophecy? Ignoring the warning signs, convinced it's all just another false alarm?
Prophetic Timelines The book of Daniel lays out a clear prophetic timeline, with four world empires rising and falling. We're now in the final stage - the divided kingdom described in Daniel 2 and 7. Just as the prophet foretold, the world is fragmenting, with rising nationalism, economic turmoil, and global instability.
Revelation's Countdown The book of Revelation gives us an even more detailed end-times roadmap. The four horsemen of the apocalypse are galloping, with war, famine, and pestilence ravaging the earth. The antichrist is rising, consolidating power. And the stage is being set for the final battle at Armageddon.
Wilfully Blind Yet most Christians remain oblivious, caught up in their comfortable lives. We've heard the prophecies so many times, we've become numb to them. We want to believe it's all just another false alarm. After all, the boy cried wolf too many times, and no one took him seriously when it mattered.
But the wolf is real this time. The prophetic warnings are flashing red. Are we going to make the same mistake, closing our eyes until it's too late? Or will we wake up, heed the biblical signs, and prepare our souls for the tribulation to come?
"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
