The Zealot's Sacrifice Simon the Zealot. The name alone conjures images of a fiery revolutionary, willing to die for his convictions. And die he did - in the most gruesome way imaginable. According to early church tradition, Simon was sawed in half for his unwavering faith in Christ.

Sawed in half. Picture that for a moment. Imagine the blade biting into flesh, the agonizing pain, the horrific death. It's almost too much to bear. Yet Simon endured this torment rather than deny the truth he had encountered.

Most of us will never face a choice so stark. We arrange our lives to avoid such unbearable tests of faith. But the apostles did not have that luxury. They had stared into the eyes of the risen Christ. They had touched his wounds. And they knew, with unshakable certainty, that he was the Messiah.

A Prophetic Warning So what can we learn from Simon's brutal end? Perhaps it's a vivid illustration of the cost of true discipleship. Or a sobering reminder that faith is meant to be costly, not comfortable.

But I believe there's an even more chilling implication. What if Simon's fate is not just a historical tragedy, but a prophetic warning for our own generation? After all, the book of Revelation describes a coming time of unprecedented persecution for those who refuse to worship the Antichrist.

Are we living in the "last days" foretold by the biblical prophets? When will the final tribulation begin? And are we, like Simon, being called to a faith that is willing to pay the ultimate price?

The Watchman's Cry As a watchman on the wall, I feel compelled to sound the alarm. The signs of the times are undeniable. From the Middle East powder keg to the technological rise of the global beast system, the prophetic puzzle is falling into place.

Yet most Christians remain asleep, lulled into complacency by the trappings of modern life. We have embraced a comfortable, convenient "Christianity" that will crumble under the weight of true persecution.

But the true church, the remnant who have eyes to see, must wake up. We must gird our loins and prepare for the battle ahead. For if Simon's fate is any indication, the cost of faithfulness in the coming days may be higher than we can imagine.

"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
