On Saturday morning in Minneapolis, federal agents pepper sprayed a woman in the face at point blank range. Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, stepped in to help her. Multiple agents surrounded him, beat him while he was on the ground, and shot him multiple times. He died at the hospital.
Now the Department of Homeland Security wants you to believe he was a violent threat who attacked federal officers with a loaded firearm. But the "official story" doesn't add up. As Bible-believing Christians, we need to peel back the veil and discern the spiritual reality behind this disturbing incident.
The Principalities of Darkness According to the authorities, Pretti "approached officers menacingly with a semi-automatic handgun with dozens of rounds of ammunition." But as the original report points out, that defies logic. How can you visually see "dozens of rounds" of ammunition? That detail seems designed to paint Pretti as a deranged, heavily-armed threat.
The Bible warns us that "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). Could this be a manifestation of those dark spiritual forces at work? Are demonic principalities influencing the authorities to cover up the truth and demonize an innocent man?
The End Times Tribulation The Apostle Paul prophesied that in the last days, "people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God" (2 Timothy 3:2-4).
Does the heavy-handed, violent response by federal agents against a health care worker fit this disturbing end times description? Are we witnessing the spiritual warfare of the tribulation period unfold before our eyes?
A Wake-Up Call to Pray As Bible-believing Christians, we must put on the full armor of God to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). This shocking incident should be a wake-up call to intensify our prayers for protection, discernment, and divine intervention. The forces of darkness are growing bolder, but our King is returning soon.
"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
