The End is Near, Folks - And I'm Not Talking About My Liver

As a veteran Christian investigative journalist, I've seen a lot of crazy things in my day. But what's unfolding in the world right now has me more spooked than a jackrabbit in a snake den. The prophecies of old are staring us right in the face, and frankly, it's enough to make a grown man cry. Or start drinking heavily again.

The Technological Trap

Let's start with the most obvious fulfillment of biblical prophecy - the rise of the surveillance state and digital control grid. We've got brain chips, facial recognition, and a coming global digital currency that will track our every move. Sound familiar? "He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark" (Revelation 13:16-17). The technology is here, people. The stage is set.

The Geopolitical Chaos

But it's not just the technological control that has me on edge. The political and social upheaval we're witnessing is straight out of the biblical playbook. "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom" (Matthew 24:7). From the US-China tensions to the Middle East powder keg, the world is on the brink of all-out war. Not to mention the global economic unrest, famines, and pestilences - all harbingers of the coming tribulation.

The Moral Decline

And let's not forget the rampant moral decay that's infecting every corner of society. "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy" (2 Timothy 3:1-2). Everywhere I look, I see the love of self and materialism crowding out godly values. The handwriting is on the wall, my friends.

"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
