The Isaiah Warning

And what about Isaiah 9:10 - "The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars"? After 9/11, American leaders started using this verse, unaware that it's actually a judgment passage. It describes a nation that refuses to repent, that vows to rebuild its own way rather than return to God.
