The Boy Who Cried Wolf... and the Wolves at the Door
You know the story - a shepherd boy gets bored watching sheep and decides to have some fun at the villagers' expense. He screams "Wolf! Wolf!" and when the villagers come running with their weapons, they find no wolf. Just a boy laughing at them for being gullible.
He does it again. Same result. The villagers get angry but they go back to their business.
Then one day, a real wolf shows up. The boy screams "Wolf! Wolf!" and nobody comes. They've heard it too many times. They don't believe him anymore. The wolf eats the sheep and probably the boy too, depending on which version you're reading.
Are we in danger of repeating this tragic tale on a global scale? The signs are all around us - economic collapse, civil unrest, the rise of totalitarianism. And those who dare to sound the alarm are being mocked and dismissed, just like the boy.
Biblical Prophecy: Foretold, Forgotten, Fulfilled
The book of Isaiah, written over 2,700 years ago, warned of a time when "the mighty man will be...the honorable man, he is the fool." Doesn't that sound eerily familiar? The prophet Daniel foresaw a coming "time of trouble, such as never was" - a description that aligns chillingly with the chaos we see unfolding today.
And in the book of Revelation, the Apostle John painted a vivid picture of the "beast" system, with its cashless economy and totalitarian control. Sound like something out of today's headlines?
These biblical prophecies were documented centuries ago, yet they are being fulfilled right before our eyes. Just as the boy's cries of "wolf" fell on deaf ears, the warnings of God's messengers are being ignored or ridiculed.
But the wolf is at the door. Will we wake up in time?
"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
