On Saturday morning in Minneapolis, federal agents pepper sprayed a woman in the face at point blank range. When 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti stepped in to help her, multiple agents surrounded him, beat him while he was on the ground, and shot him multiple times. He died at the hospital.

Now the Department of Homeland Security wants us to believe Pretti was a violent threat who attacked federal officers with a loaded firearm. But this single sentence from the government's story reveals the whole thing is a blatant lie: "Pretti approached officers menacingly with a semi-automatic handgun with dozens of rounds of ammunition."

Think about that for a second. How exactly can you SEE "dozens of rounds" of ammunition? Ammunition is inside the magazine, which is inside the gun. Unless Pretti was holding a firearm in one hand and a box of loose bullets in the other, that description makes no logical sense.

This type of senseless, violent government overreach is exactly what the Bible warns us to expect as we approach the end times. The prophet Daniel foretold that in the last days, "The [governing] people will be a mixture of iron and clay. They will try to bond together in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay." (Daniel 2:43)

When authority figures brazenly lie to the public and use excessive force against innocent citizens, it's a clear sign that our society is unraveling. The Bible says these chaotic, lawless conditions will intensify as we get closer to the second coming of Christ and the final judgment.

So what does this mean for believers today? We must remain vigilant, grounded in God's Word, and ready for the Lord's return. As Jesus Himself said, "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:28)

"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
