This senseless act of violence against a healthcare worker mirrors the lawlessness and bloodshed foretold in Scripture. The prophet Daniel described a time when "the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary" and "the end shall come with a flood" (Daniel 9:26).
