On Saturday morning in Minneapolis, federal agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) pepper sprayed a woman in the face at point-blank range. When 37-year-old ICE nurse Alex Pretti stepped in to help her, multiple agents surrounded him, beat him while he was on the ground, and shot him multiple times. Pretti died at the hospital.

Now the Department of Homeland Security wants us to believe Pretti was a "violent threat" who "approached officers menacingly with a semi-automatic handgun and dozens of rounds of ammunition." But this single sentence from Secretary Kristi Noem's statement proves she's lying.

How exactly do you SEE "dozens of rounds" of ammunition? Ammunition is inside the magazine, which is inside the gun. Unless Pretti was somehow holding a firearm in one hand and a box of loose ammo in the other, there's no way the agents could have witnessed "dozens of rounds" on his person. This blatant falsehood exposes the government's attempt to cover up what really happened - the cold-blooded murder of an innocent man.

The Bible warns that in the end times, "lawlessness will increase" (Matthew 24:12) and "brother will deliver brother over to death" (Mark 13:12). We are seeing these prophecies come to life before our very eyes. The brutal treatment of Alex Pretti, and the blatant lies used to justify it, are yet another chilling sign that the final days are upon us.

As the Apostle Paul wrote, "But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive...having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power" (2 Timothy 3:1-5). The government's response to this tragedy is a perfect example of this end-times prophecy unfolding.

Believers must stay vigilant and keep their eyes on the signs of the times. The persecution of the righteous is escalating, just as the Bible foretold. We must be prepared spiritually, mentally, and physically for the trials that lie ahead. The time to draw close to God is now.

"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
