Believe it or not, my fellow Christians, some have already paid the ultimate price for their faith. Take Simon the Zealot, one of the Twelve Apostles. His gruesome death wasn't a martyr's tale from the distant past - it was a grim prophecy fulfilled.
The Truth that Divides
There's a question that separates the true believers from the Sunday morning crowd: What would you die for? Not what cause would you post about online, not what position sounds noble at a dinner party. What truth have you encountered so completely that you'd choose torture over betraying it?
Simon the Zealot answered that question when he was sawed in half for his unyielding faith in Christ. The apostles of Jesus all faced brutal deaths, from boiling in oil to being crucified upside down. They didn't die as religious fanatics, but as eyewitnesses to the living God. Denying their faith became as impossible as breathing.
Prophecy Fulfilled
But their deaths weren't random acts of violence. They were the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Centuries before, the prophet Daniel foretold a time of "tribulation such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now" (Daniel 12:1). Isaiah warned of a coming day when "the righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart" (Isaiah 57:1).
The book of Revelation paints a chilling picture - a global system of control, a one-world currency, a dictator demanding worship. Sound familiar? The technology exists right now. Brain chips, digital currency, surveillance states. These are the prophetic signs of the end times, unfolding before our eyes.
A Call to Action
Most of us will never face the choice Simon the Zealot did. We've arranged our comfortable lives to avoid that kind of cost. But the warning is clear: the time of tribulation is near. The prophecies are being fulfilled.
Will you be ready when the final days arrive? Or will you be caught unprepared, forced to deny your faith or pay the ultimate price? The choice is yours, but choose wisely. Your very soul may depend on it.
