The Shepherd's Cry They never believed the boy when it mattered. You know the story of the boy who cried wolf - how the villagers ignored his frantic warnings until it was too late. But what if this fable isn't just about gullibility? What if it's a prophetic warning about the spiritual warfare raging all around us?

Because the problem with applying that parable to our modern economic and political climate is that there's not just one boy. There are thousands of them. And many of them are being paid handsomely to cry "wolf" - to drum up fear, to spread doubt, to keep you distracted from the real dangers.

The Wolves Among Us For decades, the doomsday economists and survivalist gurus have been predicting the imminent collapse of the dollar, the coming of hyperinflation, the "end of America." They've been wrong time and time again, but they keep screaming louder, convinced that their moment in the spotlight is just around the corner.

Why? Because their real goal isn't to help you - it's to fleece you. They're the wolves in sheep's clothing, disguising their greed and lust for power under the veneer of concern. They want to keep you paralyzed by fear, dependent on their "solutions," oblivious to the spiritual forces manipulating the world stage.

The Battle for Your Soul But make no mistake - while they may seem fixated on material things, the true war is for your eternal soul. The economic patterns we see unfolding are merely symptoms of a deeper spiritual malaise, a cosmic conflict between the forces of light and darkness.

As the Apostle Paul warns, "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). This is a battle for the very foundations of our reality - and your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

The Time is Now So cast off the shackles of fear and deception. Gird yourself with the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). For the wolves are already among the flock, and the hour of trial is upon us. Will you heed the Shepherd's cry, or will you be consumed by the ravenous beasts?

"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
