I don't venture out much these days. Not since that incident a few years back when I was investigating a child trafficking ring out west. Got stabbed pretty bad. Left me with crippling PTSD.
But sometimes a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. And today was one of those days. I needed some supplies, so I bundled up against the bitter cold, hopped on my e-scooter, and zipped down to the local Dollar General.
As soon as I walked in, that harsh fluorescent lighting hit me like a freight train. The institutional brightness makes everything look tainted, poisoned. And then the smell - plastic, cardboard, chemicals. It's like the soulless corporation has leeched every ounce of life from the place.
The Dollar General Desolation
This isn't just my small town, either. It's happening everywhere. Main Street is dying, consumed by the corporate machine. Family-owned businesses, local shops, the heart and soul of America - they're all being fed into the grinder, replaced by the same soulless big box stores.
And we all know what's next. The mega-corporations consolidate their power. Digital currency. Brain chips in your forehead. The cashless society of Revelation 13, playing out in real time before our eyes.
The Darkness Descends
Make no mistake, brothers and sisters. This is a dark omen, a harbinger of the end times. The Bible warned us 2,000 years ago about this very scenario - a totalitarian system of control, where "no one can buy or sell" without submitting to the beast.
The technology exists right now to implement this system. The infrastructure is being laid as we speak. And the soulless corporate machine is paving the way, devouring Main Street America and caging us all into the same soul-crushing conformity.
Wake up, my flock. The darkness is closing in. The end is near. I urge you, prepare your hearts. Cling to your faith. For the tribulation is at hand.
"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
