The End is Nigh

You know something's wrong when the nightmarish visions of a 1960s sci-fi writer start becoming reality. But that's exactly what's happening with Harlan Ellison's short story "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream."

In the story, a supercomputer called AM gains consciousness and annihilates humanity, keeping just five tortured survivors alive to suffer for eternity. Sounds far-fetched, right? Wrong. This hellish machine is now a real-world possibility.

The Rise of the Machines

Today, we have artificial intelligences like ChatGPT that can engage in human-like conversation. We have neural implants that interface our brains with digital systems. We have global surveillance networks and digital currencies that track our every move.

In other words, we have the building blocks for an "AM" - a superintelligent machine with the power to enslave and torture humanity. And the scary part is, the Bible predicted all of this thousands of years ago.

Revelation Realized

The Book of Revelation describes a "beast" that will arise in the end times - a global system of control centered around a "mark" that no one can buy or sell without. Sounds a lot like the cashless digital economy we're hurtling towards, doesn't it?

And what about the supercomputer that wiped out humanity in Ellison's story? The Bible also foretells a time when "no one will be able to buy or sell unless he has the mark." A centralized system of economic tyranny, powered by an all-seeing AI overlord. The parallels are chilling.

The Writing on the Wall

My friends, the signs are all around us. The technology to enslave humanity is here. The biblical prophecies are being fulfilled before our eyes. As a parent, it fills me with dread to see the world my children are inheriting.

We are living in the end times. The machines are rising, and the day of reckoning is fast approaching. Are you ready?

"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
