On Saturday morning in Minneapolis, federal agents pepper sprayed a woman in the face at point blank range. Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, stepped in to help her. Multiple agents surrounded him, beat him while he was on the ground, and shot him multiple times. He died at the hospital.

Now the Department of Homeland Security wants us to believe Pretti was a violent threat who attacked federal officers with a loaded firearm. Secretary Kristi Noem stood before cameras and described how Pretti approached officers "menacingly with a semi-automatic handgun with dozens of rounds of ammunition."

That single sentence proves she's lying. How exactly do you SEE dozens of rounds? Ammunition is inside the magazine. The magazine is inside the gun. Unless Pretti was holding a firearm in one hand and a box of loose ammo in the other, there's no way Noem could have visually confirmed that detail.

This type of deception and distortion of the facts is exactly what the Bible warns us to watch for as we approach the end times. In 2 Timothy 3, the apostle Paul foretells a time when "evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived." He says people will have "the appearance of godliness, but denying its power."

That's precisely what we're seeing here. The government and media are putting on an appearance of protecting law and order, but the reality is a horrific abuse of power, a violation of civil liberties, and a complete denial of the truth. This is a troubling sign of the growing darkness and deception that will only intensify as we draw nearer to the tribulation.

Just as the prophet Jeremiah warned the people of his day, the blood of the innocent cries out from the ground. God will not be mocked. Judgment is coming, both for those who perpetrate such evil, and for a nation that has turned its back on Him.

The shooting of Alex Pretti is a tragic reminder that we are living in the last days. The world is rapidly descending into chaos, and the powers that control it are growing bolder in their lies and brutality. Believers must remain vigilant, grounded in God's Word, and ready to shine the light of truth in the midst of encroaching darkness.

"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
