I don't leave my bunker much anymore. After getting jumped investigating a child trafficking ring out west, I developed a serious case of PTSD. But when I ran out of essentials, I had no choice but to venture out into the dying world.
As I zipped down to the local Dollar General on my e-scooter, the fluorescent lights and chemical stench hit me first. This place feels...unnatural. Institutional. Like the soul is being sucked out of our communities.
The Takeover of Main Street It's not just my little town, either. Drive through any rural area and you'll see the same pattern play out. Small businesses on Main Street shutter. The family-owned hardware store, the diner where everyone knows your name - they can't compete with the corporate juggernaut of Dollar General.
These stores spread like a virus, consuming town after town. Soon, every community looks the same. Soulless. Homogenized. The last traces of local character are bulldozed to make way for the green and gold logo.
The Rise of the Beast System But is this merely the natural progression of capitalism, or is there a more nefarious force at work? The Bible warned us about a coming "beast system" that would control all buying and selling. Could the proliferation of Dollar Generals be a physical manifestation of this prophecy?
After all, these stores don't just sell goods - they monitor every transaction, link it to your digital ID, and report it up the chain. The ability to "buy or sell" is increasingly controlled by these corporate overlords. Just as Revelation foretold.
The War for Your Mind And it's not just your wallet they're after. The eerie brightness, the clinical sterility - it all feels designed to numb your senses, to make you more compliant. To prepare you for the mark.
The spiritual battle lines have been drawn, my friends. The enemy seeks to own your mind, your body, your very soul. But we have been armed for this fight. The full armor of God is our protection.
Stand firm. The war has begun.
