The Boy Who Cried Wolf... and the Wolves Who Came
They never believed the boy when it mattered. That's the tragedy of the classic fable - the shepherd boy's cries of "Wolf! Wolf!" fell on deaf ears until it was too late. By the time a real wolf showed up, the villagers had tuned him out. Their disbelief proved deadly.
This age-old story carries an eerie prophetic weight in our current times. Like the boy, many prophets and watchmen have been raising the alarm, warning of coming calamity. Yet the world has grown numb to their cries. We've heard it all before, right? The end is always nigh, the tribulation is always upon us. Cry wolf one too many times, and no one will take you seriously.
The Wolves Gather
But what if the wolf is real this time? What if the dangers we've been warned about for decades are now staring us in the face? From the brink of economic collapse to the rise of global tyranny, the signs of the end times are mounting. The wolves are not just at the door - they're circling, baring their teeth, ready to pounce.
The prophet Jeremiah gave a chilling description of these end-times "wolves":
"Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their cavalry officers charge ahead; their horsemen come from afar. They fly like an eagle swooping to devour; they all come intent on violence." (Jeremiah 5:6)
These are no mere metaphorical wolves. They are real powers and principalities, demonic forces that seek to devour God's people. And they are on the move, sensing their time is short.
Judgment is Coming
Make no mistake - judgment is coming. Just as the wolf in the fable ultimately had his way with the sheep, the forces of darkness will be allowed to wreak havoc. But this is no mere fairy tale. This is biblical prophecy unfolding before our eyes.
The good news is that this judgment is not the end of the story. As dark as things may get, there is hope beyond the tribulation. The King is coming to establish His righteous reign on earth. But first, the wolves must be dealt with.
Are you ready? Or will you be like the villagers, stubbornly refusing to believe until it's too late? The time to heed the watchmen's cries is now. The wolves are at the door.
"The truth doesn't hide. It waits for those brave enough to look."
