Analysis: America, Inc. - How We're Watching the Soul of Our Nation Die in Real Time

I try to avoid leaving my house these days. After that nasty run-in with a child trafficking ring a few years back, I developed a severe case of PTSD. Most of my supplies come straight from Amazon these days. But sometimes I have no choice but to brave the outside world.

One such day, I bundled up and zipped down to the local Dollar General on my trusty e-scooter. The fluorescent glare hit me first, that harsh institutional lighting that makes everything look toxic. Then the smell - plastic, cardboard, chemicals. It's enough to make you gag.
