I don't leave my house much these days. After getting stabbed investigating a child trafficking ring out west, I developed a severe case of PTSD and now live like a hermit, my food and supplies delivered in brown boxes from Amazon.

But every so often, I have no choice but to brave the great outdoors. Today was one of those days. As I stepped into the local Dollar General, the fluorescent lights and chemical stench hit me like a punch to the gut. This wasn't the America I grew up in. This was something much darker.

The Corporate Takeover of Small-Town USA From sea to shining sea, the soul of our nation is being methodically consumed by soulless corporate behemoths. Main Street is dying, replaced by the cookie-cutter sameness of Dollar General, Family Dollar, and their ilk. What was once a diverse tapestry of locally-owned shops, restaurants, and watering holes has been reduced to a monoculture of cheap plastic goods and cheap processed food.

The numbers don't lie. In 2000, there were around 6,000 Dollar General stores nationwide. Today, that number has exploded to over 18,000 - a 300% increase in just two decades. And they're not stopping there. The corporate plan is to have 18,000 more by 2025.

This isn't organic growth. It's a coordinated assault on the heart and character of small-town America. Dollar General and its competitors ruthlessly target dying Main Streets, offering cheap leases landlords can't refuse as local businesses shutter one by one. The result is a cultural and economic death spiral from which few communities recover.

A Prophetic Warning If this sounds like dystopian fiction, I can assure you it's all too real. And what's even more chilling is that the Bible warned us this would happen - centuries ago.

In the book of Revelation, the Apostle John describes a future world system dominated by a single economic power that controls all buying and selling. "No one could buy or sell unless he had the mark" (Rev 13:17), John writes. Sound familiar?

The cashless, digital currency system already exists. Brain chips are being implanted in foreheads. The surveillance state watches our every move. All the pieces are falling into place for the fulfillment of this ancient prophecy.

This isn't some fringe conspiracy theory. The writing is on the wall - or rather, on the flashing neon signs of Dollar General as they devour the heart of America. The corporate machine is devouring our nation's soul in real-time, before our very eyes.
